Shutdown Causes Hunger Crisis for Families as Benefits Are Put at Risk
As the government shutdown continues, families who rely on SNAP benefits are losing access to the programs that help them put food on the table. According to Feeding America, for every meal food banks provide, SNAP provides nine. We were never meant to solve hunger alone. Do I get a receipt?
Yes, we’ll send a receipt to the email address you provide when donating. The receipt will include your donation details, such as the date, amount, and any beneficiary information. A tax statement at the end of year can also be provided upon request
Why am I seeing fees at checkout?
Every transaction made in person or online has an associated fee from credit cards to platform to processing fees. We have opted to allow donors the OPTION to cover fees on their transactions, it is never a requirement. This keeps 100% of the intended donation with Freestore. Fees can be turned on/off for recurring gifts at any time.

Is Honor/Memory information shared with family?
In honor or memory of a loved one, you can donate to Freestore Foodbank and send an email notification to a contact. You can personalize your message to the recipient informing them of your donation. We will provide the family with a list of donors' names and physical addresses upon request, but we will withhold donation amounts and email addresses to protect your privacy.
